How do I find a Carnilove retailer?
Our online store locator will help you locate Carnilove retailers in your area.
What is the difference between the dry pet foods?
Carnilove Dry vs. Carnilove Fresh vs. Carnilove True Fresh
All 3 lines are high quality feeds and are among the top in the market. Each of the lines target different needs and the best diet depends on your individual pet. Each Carnilove line differs in the percent of protein, the type of protein, and the processing technology.
The Carnilove Dry foods contain the highest percentages of protein, making them excellent choices for highly active pets. The high protein content has an excellent effect on muscle development and performance.
Carnilove Fresh foods contain a higher fresh meat content than the Dry foods, for higher palatability and better digestibility. Carnilove Fresh helps support skin health, digestion, and mobility.
Carnilove True Fresh is made from only fresh meat-no meat meal. Thanks to its unique production technology, it combines 95% digestibility and 70% higher palatability compared to other feeds. This makes it an excellent choice for even the fussiest eaters.
How to transition from another brand to Carnilove?
It’s important to introduce new food gradually. Going slowly will give your dog or cat time to adjust to their new food and will also reduce the chances of digestive upset. See full details on switching to Carnilove.
How to feed wet and dry food?
The good news is ALL Carnilove wet and dry foods are complete foods. This means you can feed them alone, or both combined, if that is your pets’ preference.
When feeding alone, we recommend using the feeding chart provided on the label. This provides you with the total daily feeding allowance for your pet and should be divided into the required number of meals throughout the day. For most adult dogs, two meals a day is recommended.
If you’d like to feed both, simply decide what ratio you would like to feed and adjust the amounts accordingly. For example, if you want to feed a ratio of 50:50 wet and dry, you would feed half the recommended daily allowance from the dry food’s feeding chart and half the recommended feeding amount of the wet food.
The feeding amounts may vary between formulas, so it is always important to double check the quantities.
Keep in mind that this amount is based on an average group of animals and is meant to be used as a starting point. Every pet is unique and factors such as metabolism, activity, and environment all impact how much your pet needs to eat. If you feel based on your pet’s body condition that they need more or less, you can certainly adjust the recommended amount.
