Carnilove UK is delighted to be supporting BRAVEHOUND, a charity which supports service men, women and their families in Scotland.
BRAVEHOUND was established in 2013 with a mission to help heal the invisible wounds of military veterans with specially trained assistance dogs. Veterans can develop conditions including PTSD, depression and anxiety and BRAVEHOUND assistance dogs provide companionship, a purpose, a reason to take regular exercise and provide a natural structure to the day. They are also trained to help facilitate daily life and tasks such as prompting their veteran to take medication and helping them navigate public transport and cope in crowds.
To ensure ongoing support, BRAVEHOUND provides regular training and hosts group sessions for the veterans and their assistance dogs. This regular contact provides valuable social connection and ensures that both dog and veteran continue to thrive.
Karen Rodger, Director at Carnilove UK said: “We are very proud to be supporting BRAVEHOUND. These wonderful dogs provide so much to their veterans, it’s only right they are fed a great diet. With its high meat content and zero grain, potato or fillers, Carnilove food rewards their hard work and will keep them in great condition.”
Carnilove is currently helping to feed 25 dogs in service with Carnilove Dry Dog Food which contains 70% wild-origin meat and is grain and potato-free. The high meat percentage ensures these hard-working dogs receive a diet which supports optimal body condition.
Fiona MacDonald, CEO of BRAVEHOUND said: “There is so much demand amongst veterans for assistance dogs and we need support to help as many of them as possible. The support from Carnilove means we can ensure our dogs are getting the nourishment they need to keep giving the companionship and critical support to our veterans.”
